Assignment 1: Market Analysis
Purpose: The purpose of this assignment is to assess your understanding of the  basic principles of marketing and your ability to apply them to a  real-life business scenario.
Instructions:
Select a  company or product of your choice and conduct a market analysis based on  the principles of marketing discussed in class.
Your analysis should cover the following aspects:

Industry  overview: What industry is the company/product operating in? What are  the major trends and challenges facing the industry?
Target  market: Who is the company/product targeting? What are their needs and  wants? How does the company/product meet these needs and wants?

Marketing  mix: What is the company/product’s marketing mix? How does it use  product, price, promotion, and place to reach its target market?

Competitive  analysis: Who are the company/product’s main competitors? How does the  company/product differentiate itself from its competitors?
Your analysis should be presented in a written report format, with a clear structure and appropriate headings and subheadings.
Your report should be no more than 1000 words in length (excluding references and appendices).
You are required to use at least 5 academic sources to support your analysis.

Your report should be submitted through the online portal by the due date specified in the course outline.
Grading: Your report will be graded on the following criteria:
Demonstrated understanding of the basic principles of marketing
Quality and depth of analysis

Use of appropriate academic sources
Clarity and effectiveness of communication
